HTC Droid DNA Review 2021

With the technology advancing day by day, notebooks and computers are becoming smaller, and smartphones are getting a longer look. This is the reason of emergence of devices, which fall between these two categories and are considered as phablet. HTC Droid DNAis one such device.


HTC Droid DNA will surely surprise you with its size as similar to that of the 4.8 inch Samsung Galaxy 3. As compared to the latter, HTC’s DNA outdoes by the dimensions. HTC DNA is taller than being wider, which fits itself to the palm.

However, the device is thicker and weighs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy 3. Unlike other phablets that have larger screens, HTC’s DNA fits in more words like the Samsung Galaxy 3. DNA has an excellent resolution of 440 pixels per inch, which means that the phone is perfect for watching videos and movies.

HTC’s DNA has an 8 megapixels camera at the rear. The front facing camera for video calls in this device is the best in the industry with 2.1 megapixels. The device uses Dr. Dre’s Beat Audio, and the sound quality is astounding.

Samsung Galaxy Note has additional features like stylus, but the cost of the device is $300 for a two-year contract. DNA starts at $200 for a two-year contract. However, with its size increased, the Note looks bulky, and, on the other hand, the increase in size is hardly seen in HTC Droid DNA.

Good and Bad

HTC Droid DNA and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are evidences that phablets are being increased in size. Both phones are decent and have their own pros and cons like the screen and display. When the features are compared to the price tag, undoubtedly the DNA sounds best. The audio clarity and screen resolution are best in DNA while the size of the display is not fair enough.

Best Buy now joins Staples and will sell Microsoft surface tablet that was only available in online stores and in Microsoft’s stores. Best Buy says that the surface tablet will be available from 16 December while Staples started on Wednesday. This turns out to be more beneficial for Microsoft and its Windows RT OS that is a tile based as the surface tablet gains more exposure to the customers.

A 32 GB version of this surface tablet is priced $499. This does not include a keyboard cover. When the touch keyboard cover is included, the cost of the gadget goes up to $599.99. For 64 GB version with a cover, the cost is $699. Surface tablet with a cover becomes the fit gadget for educational and business purposes. The surface tablet currently available in the stores does not run on the Windows programs but on the apps downloaded from Microsoft’s stores. This criterion is getting criticism that the tablet can never be replaced the laptop that is used for work.

Scott Anderson, a Best Buy executive said that, until now, consumers have heard about the Microsoft Tablet, but now the time has come for consumers to experience it.

A preloaded version of Microsoft office is available in this tablet. However, the tablet does not have enough software as in full-blown computers that use the Window’s programs.

Google is aiming for bigger markets and trying to beat the iPad with its new Nexus 10. Although in looks, Google Nexus 10 resembles with Nexus 7 and with Nexus 4. This high resolution and retina quality tablet is of 7 inch and stands undeniably equally to the rival, iPad.

Other alluring features in Nexus 10 long battery life, content at fingertips and excellent performance. Nexus 10 for sure with these features tallies up with iPad specs. The users can get it for $399.

What makes Nexus 10 Great?

As compared to the cold and metallic built iPad, Nexus 10 from Google is perfectly comfortable. The speakers are thin, placed on both sides, and are perfectly implemented. The tablet weighs only 1.33 pounds. Nexus 10’s retina display makes it easier to watch a video from any angle. The software used is the Android 4.2, still a Jelly Bean.

What goes missing?

Though Google Nexus 10 has loads of positive features, few things go missing. Resolution of Nexus 10 is 2560×1600. This does not make it right reading e-books and magazines, as in the iPad. The camera is not foremost in this new device from Google.

The applications are the ones that go missing than anything else. Even with $100 higher is iPad all the apps and accessories can be enjoyed in the iPad while in Nexus 10, without the apps, all the fun comes down.
